Tug Of War Vs 20 Ton Army Tank
This was filmed a while ago now but I had to wait for Eddie to get this up on his channel before posting anything about it but i’m excited to finally be able to share this work!
So this video had 3 separate cameras capturing the entire event and I was set the task of filming the people on the ropes. This was something that was actually really fun to be part of but it didn’t come without its challenges.
For this shoot I was given Eddie’s camera setup which I am getting familiar with having used it a couple of times now but is still not quite my own. whilst it is a better quality camera than mine I feel the familiarity of my own camera and extra accessories I have would of really helped me on this shoot. One of the main things that would have helped would have been an ND filter to help block out the harsh sunlight that persisted throughout the time we were there. whilst this was great for everyone attending, for me it meant that I had to raise the shutter speed of the camera resulting in a sharper video image.
A sharper video image may sound good but with video you want that motion blur to take effect as it really helps smooth out the footage and give you a more refined video experience. This is something that was available to the main camera on the day and if you watch the video you can see the clear difference in quality. However, this was not something I could control and respect the wishes of my clients so I powered through and did everything I could to give Eddie usable footage for his video.
Overall this was a great day and a great experience for everyone involved, I can only thank Eddie once again for choosing me to help put together one of his videos and look forward to any future work he sends my way!
That is me on the right filming the contenders
Strongmen VS 100 Kids
This was an added extra to the day for everyone involved and again it was great to be part of the making for the video. Brian Shaw did his own video on the day having himself and Eddie do a tug of war against all the kids at the event as they were not allowed to take part after a certain number of people were on the ropes to stop the tank. It was a great gesture and it made a great video with all the kids really getting stuck in and doing their best to beat Eddie and Brian.
