Eddie Hall - BooHooMAN

I recently had the opportunity to shoot with Eddie Hall at Destination Gym in Trent Vale for the launch of a new boohooMAN drop. The energy was exactly what you'd expect with Eddie, relaxed but focused and unapologetically bold. He knew exactly what he wanted from me being very well prepared for the shoot, making it fast and efficient.

The gym setting gave the shoot a raw, powerful atmosphere, allowing me to capture the strength and presence of both the athlete and the brand.

This one for me is one that will stick with me in my photography career, being spotted on my social media and requested to do a shoot was not only a first for me but a great feeling.

Proud to have been noticed on social media and to have gained work from this I was already over the moon. Then to arrive at the gym and have Eddie sit down with me and discuss what he wants from the shoot just left me in shock.

He knew more than I thought he would about cameras and my chosen setup for the day after he asked to take a look. This for me was quite refreshing and gave me more confidence going into the job.

Not only was he well prepared for the shoot, backing it up with his technological knowledge but he was also showed a genuine interest in my career and how things were going for me. Not only was this again not something that I usually have from clients but this made the shoot feel more casual and low pressure which helped settle my nerves from the surprise of my client being Eddie Hall.

He really did make this a job for me to remember not only because he is a local celebrity to my area but just like everything else he does he has set the bar for client experience.

Two Wheel Tuesday - Stone

I recently attended Two Wheel Tuesday, a bike meet held on Stone’s high street and organised by Stone Carnival Week 2025.

I spent the evening photographing the variety of bikes on display, from custom builds to classic models, each one with its own unique presence and style. With rows of machines lining the high street, there was no shortage of detail and character to capture.

The event brought together an impressive range of bikes, riders, and enthusiasts — all lining the street in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that celebrated motorcycle culture and community spirit.

This was my first time covering a bike meet and it was surprisingly easy to apply the basics I’ve learned from car photography to bikes. There was even more potential for detail shots, from chrome finishes and custom paintwork to worn grips and unique modifications, all telling their own story.

1863 Cup at Stoke City FC

I recently had the opportunity to photograph the 1863 Cup at Stoke City FC’s stadium, a high-energy tournament where local companies were given the chance to form a team and compete against each other.

Working alongside their lead sports photographer, my focus was on capturing the overall atmosphere, the teams, the crowd, and the energy around the event but I did get some on pitch action shots whilst I was there.

It was my first time covering an event of this scale and setting, and my first experience with sports photography. With just a 24–70mm lens and no set brief going in, I had to adapt quickly and stay responsive throughout the day.

The feedback from the team was really positive, and it was a great opportunity to step outside my comfort zone and grow as a photographer. I hope to get the chance to consistently work with the team at Stoke City FC as they made it a great day!

Genius Of The Crowd - Music Video

I recently had the opportunity to travel to Derby and film a music video for Genius of the Crowd, and it turned out to be one of the most creatively fulfilling and collaborative projects I’ve taken on.

The concept was emotionally rich and visually complex, testing not only my camera gear but my videography capabilities. Having to progress my filming technique to match the tempo and emotions as they develop. Although my main role was videography, the day quickly evolved into a full creative collaboration, offering my input on framing, lighting, and visual flow.

Before we even started rolling on the video itself, I also shot a set of press photos to help the artist with their upcoming promo work.

One thing that stood out was the energy and preparation the artists brought into the space, it made a huge difference. They came in knowing what they wanted, but also open to creative suggestions which made the whole day run smoothly and kept the momentum going from start to finish.

Throughout the shoot, we kept communication open. I made a point to review clips with them constantly so we could adjust things in real time to make sure everything was just right for them. There were several moments where they said, “That’s perfect, exactly what we wanted,” which was a great feeling. It showed that I was not just filming what was in front of me, but really listening and translating their vision into something tangible.

This was a new experience for me, both technically and emotionally and I wasn’t sure going in how I’d perform. But by the end of it, I’d not only captured something we were all proud of, I’d also taken on the post-production side and edited the full video. Being able to deliver something that hit exactly what they had in mind, especially with such a personal and layered concept, was a proud moment.

Desire Cocktail Bar Wedding Event

At the end of last month I had the opportunity to cover a wedding event at Desire Cocktail Bar, a last minute job that through me slightly out of my comfort zone.

The event was a celebration for the bar’s owner sister in law and her wife to be. Desire reached out and asked if I could step in that same night after their original photographer failed to respond.

I won’t lie — this kind of event coverage was something new for me. Weddings aren’t something I get requests for, and I being a repeat customer I didn’t want to let Desire down. But from the moment I said yes, my focus was completely on the brides and making sure their day was captured with care and honesty.

A lot of the guests didn't seem to be aware a photographer had been hired, that meant I had to adapt quickly, blending in, building trust and working subtly to make people feel comfortable enough for genuine moments to unfold. I found myself shooting from the edges, catching the little things without drawing attention, letting the day speak for itself.

In the end, the feedback from the clients was overwhelmingly positive. They loved the content and appreciated how I handled the day — especially given the short notice and the delicate balance needed to capture something so personal.

This job really helped me with my professional career, giving me the chance to experience something new and challenging that I can now walk into with more confidence the next time one comes up.

Rudyard lake car meet

It was my first time visiting the Rudyard lake car meet and this time it was the Yanks & Pre 1987 classics. There was a great turnout for the meet and a good mix of cars, what really made it worth going was the golden hour sun creating some perfect shots!

It’s been a while since I have managed to get out to a car meet and take some photos and it felt great! Something I love to do and I need to start making more time for it between the other freelance jobs I do!

Rocky Ostrich - Video coverage

A little late with this one but late last month I had the joy of capturing Rocky ostrich’s live performance for them to use on their social media.

During their performance I concentrated on capturing the band members energetic and raw emotion.

The band are a very good client of mine, using me for a lot of their content and always putting on a great live performance! whilst I have done a lot of photos for the band in the past they have recently decided to go down the video content root to allow them to make more of a variety of social media posts. Again they came to me for this content and being comfortable with both photography and videography I had them covered.

However, whilst I was there for videography I did also manage to capture some nice shots to summarise the night for them during their set.

Further to the video content they requested, they also requested that I take this content and turn it into a promotional video for their social platforms. of course offering such a full range of services I said that wouldn’t be an issue and turned this into a promotional video for an upcoming single release for them which was performed on the night.

Desire Cocktail Bar

I had the pleasure of working with Desire Cocktail Bar capturing key moments during the work event night that they were hosting for livescore.

The warm lit atmosphere of Desire was a calm and comfortable place to be for the couple of hours that I stayed capturing the key moments of the event. The night was full of energy with guests enjoying the vibe of Desire both inside and out, Luckily for me it does this in a quite compact size so I was never far away from the action.

Desire does a great job at standing out from the crowd, with its luxurious furnishing and warm mood lighting there is really nothing else that comes close in Hanley.

CG-Way Social Media Content

It was a pleasure to work with CG-Way again this weekend just gone!

After providing the new business with some of their first social media content they were extremely pleased and came back to capture a more in depth wash to show off more of what they offer.

As always it was a fun morning capturing content for CG-Way, getting to know them more and hearing about the plans they have for the future of their company!

CG-Way Waterless car wash

Clean Green Way’s is a newly established local car wash business that provide a professional car wash whilst using no water and coming to your door!

I was pleased to help this new company have some high quality content for their new social media pages to help attract as much business as possible. They were all very thorough and professional with their work which is exactly what I wanted to capture in the content for them.

I look forward to working with them again and hope that I can help their company grow by showing the hard work that they put into each wash.
